Childrens' Liturgy
Childrens' Liturgy
During the 10.30am Sunday Mass, the children are invited to attend their own liturgy with readings, prayers and reflection. Activities used to explain the gospels/liturgy include music, painting and crafts. Any young child in church is welcome to attend and they will be made very welcome by our childrens' liturgy catechists.

Children's Liturgy - Thirteenth Sunday of the Year.
The Gospel story from St Luke recalls Jesus trying to make his disciples understand the cost of following him. Jesus points out that he has no home to call his own and this is the uncertainty that his followers will face. they are also to put him before anything or anyone else.
The children thought of ways in which they can follow Jesus and wrote these on the board.

Children's Liturgy - The Feast of Pentecost
The reading from the Acts of the Apostles gives an exciting account of the coming of the Holy Spirit to the disciples. Following the rushing wind and the tongues of fire which settled over each person, the disciples were transformed from a frightened group hiding from the Jews, into bold and fearless apostles who proclaimed the gospel in different languages. The children talked about the story of Pentecost and then thought about how the Holy Spirit comes to each one of us, and the power that it gives to us to talk about the gospel and to follow Jesus.
The children decorated book marks with Holy Spirit 'flames'.
